Admission / TC Procedure

Admission is open to Indian Citizens subject to the availability of vacancies in the classes. Admission for the new academic year is usually granted within one month of the opening of the school. The Principal, however, may grant admission subject to the approval of the School authorities under special circumstances, even after the expiry of this period.

 

Application for admission should be made by the parents on a prescribed form, which can be obtained from the school office on payment of S.R.25/-

Admission Policy

KG SECTION
For Admission to L.K.G. the child should be 3 + on or before the first day of the  academic year of the school. Admission will be given after discussion with the parent.
 

A Birth Certificate from a competent authority along with other documents as required  by the school should be submitted with the admission form.

 
CLASSES I – VIII
 
For admission to Classes I to VIII, the entrance test will cover  English, Maths and   Hindi.
 

For fresh admission to Std I and Std II, a Birth Certificate from a competent authority, along with other documents as required by the school should accompany the admission form. Pupils coming from other schools should also submit the original Transfer certificate issued by the previous recognised school along with other documents as required by the school.

 
CLASSES IX
Admission to class IX  in a school shall be open only to a such a student who has passed class VIII examination from an Institution affiliated to this Board or to any recognised Board or is recognized by the Education Department of the Government of the Stae / U.T. in which such an institution is located.
CLASSES X

As the syllabus prescribed at Secondary level is of two years integrated course, no admission shall be taken in class X directly. Provided further that admission to class X in a school shall be open only to such a student who:

a) has completed a regular course of study for class IX from an institution affiliated to this Board;

b) has completed a regular course of study for class IX and has obtained minimum grade D in the five subjects (excluding 6th additional subject) under Scholastic Area A as well as Grades in subjects under Scholastic Area B under the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation Scheme in class IX examination conducted by an institution affiliated to this Board and migrating from/within one city/State to another only on the transfer of the parent(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the report book and the transfer certificate duly countersigned by the Board; and

c) a student who has completed a regular course of study for class IX and has passed class IX examination from an institution recognized by/affiliated to any recognized Board in India can be admitted to a school affiliated to this Board only on the transfer of the Parent(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the mark sheet and the Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned.

Notwithstanding anything contained in the rules above. Chairman shall have the powers to allow change of school for better academic performance, medical reasons etc to avoid undue hardship to the candidate(s).

Incase of all such admissions the schools would obtain post facto approval of the Board within one month of admission of the student.

CLASSES XI

Admission to class XI  in the school shall be open only to a student who:

 

a) obtained minimum grade D in atleast five subjects (excluding the 6th additional subject) under scholastic area A as per the scheme of studies and a qualifying certificate / gradesheet cum certificate of performance at the secondary school (Class X) examination conducted by this Board/ School affiliated to this Board.

b)has passed an equivalent examination conducted by any other recognized Board of Secondary Education/Indian University and recognized by this Board as equivalent to its secondary school examination

CLASSES XII

(i) As the syllabus prescribed at Senior level is of two years integrated course, no admission shall be taken in class XII directly. Provided further that admission to class XII in a school shall be open only to such a student who:

a) has completed a regular course of study for class XI and has passed class XI examination from an institution affiliated to this Board.

b) has completed a regular course of study for class XI and has passed class XI examination from an institution affiliated to this Board and migrating from/within one city/state to another only on the transfer of the parent(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the mark sheet and the Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Board; and

c) has completed a regular course of study for class XI and has passed class XI examination from an institution recognized by / affiliated to any recognized Board in India can be admitted to a school affiliated to this Board only on the transfer of the parent(s) or shifting of their families from one place to another, after procuring from the student the mark sheet and the Transfer Certificate duly countersigned by the Educational Authorities of the Board concerned.

Notwithstanding anything contained in paras 1 to 5 of this Byelaws, the admission of students passing qualifying examination from an examining body outside India shall be regulated according to the provisions contained in byelaw 6.2 of this chapter; provided that the condition of completing regular course of study for class IX and class XI is satisfied in cases of admission to class X and class XII respectively.

 
The criteria for admission to different streams of Grade XI will be as follows:
SCIENCE STREAM
1. English
2. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
3. Physics, Chemistry, Biology
4. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology
5. Physical Education / Computer Science / Fine Arts / Multimedia & Web Technology / Home Science (Girls only)
 

The student must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in Science and Mathematics individually and an aggregate of 55% in the Pre-Final Examination of class X   

 
 
COMMERCE STREAM
1. English (Compulsory)
2.

Business Studies

3.

Accountancy

4.

Economics

5.

Mathematics/Informatics Practices/Physical Education/ Fine Arts / Home Science (Girls only)

The student must have obtained a minimum of 55 marks individually in in Mathematics and an aggregate of 55 % in the Pre-Final Examination of Class X.

3. Political Science
4. Fine Arts / Physical Education
